ABOUT ME:

Matthew Page, Long Island Sports Broadcaster and Reporter

I'm a graduate student at Hofstra University, coming from several generations of sports fans. Growing up watching the New York Islanders and New York Mets, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in sports media.

Once at Hofstra, I've contributed to broadcasts for the Islanders Radio Network and the Long Island Nets on ESPN+ and the Yankees Entertainment and Sports Network. On the air, I can be found providing play-by-play and color commentary for Hofstra Pride games in baseball, softball, field hockey and basketball. Additionally, I broadcast select Long Island Ducks games in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.

In writing, I'm a contributor to The Hockey News, providing coverage of the Islanders alongside Stefen Rosner. My work ranges from game previews, postgame recaps and features surrounding the team and its players. In 2025, I interned with AMNewYork as a sports creative journalist, covering the Mets and other local events such as the Professional Darts Corporation's US Darts Masters.

Working in both writing and broadcasting has made me a versatile talent across the media world. Talking sports is a passion of mine, and to both commentate and write about my passions is something I don't take for granted.  I look forward to continuing my journey.
